Data-sharing and cooperation among CVE agencies within jurisdictions, and across jurisdictions and countries

In order to strengthen effective data-sharing and cooperation, MOUs must be in place, as well as forums to facilitate this exchange. The content of these agreements needs to address legal and organisational sensitivities that may prohibit the sharing of agency data.

Outcomes

Capability
  • Agencies and jurisdictions have effective CVE information sharing and collaboration, and with international partners

This outcome relates to the capacity of agencies to collaborate and share information and knowledge. This includes opportunities for knowledge sharing between policymakers and external experts e.g. facilitating forums, workshops, seminars, conferences; and knowledge infrastructure that makes research and evaluation reports available.

Ways to measure

See the Countering Violence Extremism Evaluation Indicator Document [Pp 121-125] for practical suggestions on ways to measure such as survey instruments, example questions and using administrative data.

  • Multi-method approach including assessing MOUs, interviews, and identifying outcomes achieved.
